The Islamic way to contribute to societal good

When was the last time you parted with some money for some noble causes?

Well, don’t bother to answer. It’s just that our religion stresses on the need for regular charity for social good. As a true Muslim, it’s our duty to share a part of our good fortune with those who suffer due to lack of resources.

There are Islamic schools around, which focus on the educational needs of girl students and promote their overall well-being. You can support those schools financially or by investing in their infrastructure. Alternatively, you can contribute in building Mosques, hospitals, and schools for the downtrodden of the society. Leveraging on the modern day technologies, you can make an Islamic charity within a couple of minutes, that too from the comfort of your home or office cubicle.

There are hundreds of ways to promote brotherhood and peace in the society. By standing next to a child for his/her education, you can transform the entire life of a child and his/her family. The child, with your support, can grow to become a respected and responsible member of the society.

Last, but not the least, Islam emphasis on regular charities. Whatever the amounts or efforts are, try to be regular with your contributions for the society around. And yes, whatever you donate, will come back to you manifold from Allah.
